Got my thumb stuck in some machinery (not building related), doc says there is a chance my nail won't grow back! No pain, nothing broken or fractured. Knew it wasn't great when I saw a piece of the base of the nail sticking out but I didn't think it was so bad that it wouldn't grow back! Saw the doc the next day and was told there was only a window of 6 hours to fix it and I had missed it. Doc sent a photo to the plastic surgeon registrar, he wasn't as worried.... Time will tell. I hope its ok I am kinda attached to my thumb nail, helps to untie knots! Luck it is my left hand, I guess. Building on hold for now.
